ETRA 2025

At this year’s ACM ETRA in Tokyo, Japan, Shupeng presented our work on “Leveraging Temporal Gaze Patterns for Intelligent Segmentation in Mobile Eye-Tracking”, which has been published as an article in the PACM CGIT Journal: https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3729412

In this work, we introduce a novel pipeline that integrates temporal gaze features into the SAM 2 model, significantly enhancing segmentation accuracy for automatic annotations in mobile eye tracking data. The article is co-authored by Shupeng Wang, Yizi Chen, Sidi Wu, Peter Kiefer, and Martin Raubal.

Moreover, 2025 was the second year of Peter’s involvement as one of the ACM ETRA Co-Full Paper Chairs. It was an honor and an exciting time to take on this responsible role for two years.

Full paper published at SUI 2024

In our recent paper “3D Flight Planning Using Extended Reality”, we introduce an innovative XR-based application that enables pilots to plan flights in 3D. We also explore how flight planning in such environment compares to 2D in terms of user experience, and the usability of different flight planning methods in this immersive setting.
